ABOUT ME
MY BURNOUT STORY
Hey y'all, I’m Katie, and I help women shift out of burnout without feeling an ounce of guilt.
My burnout reached an intensity where merely the anticipation of Monday had activated a level of dread that left me reaching for a bottle of chardonnay promptly at 5pm.
It was when I was working in healthcare. I was trying to do something that mattered a lot to me, while simultaneously battling a totally dysfunctional administration. Eventually the stress built up inside me in layers that got more and more dense until they finally crushed me. Ultimately I reached my breaking point and was told I had two options: undergo surgical intervention, or find a way to “relax”.
Since surgery was out of the question, I started…
Actively working to regulate my nervous system and balance my cortisol levels.
Moving my body because it felt good, not to look some type of way.
Making meaningful connections in my community.
Embracing rest as a non-negotiable.
And it worked. I’m healthier, saner, and happier than I was in my twenties because I realized my emotions and my thoughts and my body are all connected to one another.
Now, I’ve spent the past three years coaching hundreds of clients to shift out of burnout and into a place of energy and ease. As a Holistic Health Coach, I bring a collaborative, realistic approach to the table that gets results. I’ve helped clients not only feel less overwhelmed and exhausted, but empowered and strong enough to cope with all the obstacles the world throws at them. And I would love to help you too :)
If you want to learn more, book a discovery call with me today. We’ll chat about what challenges you’re facing right now and give you the tools you need to thrive. Because nobody should have to “do it all” alone.
Oh you’re here because you want to learn more about me?! Well okay then:
I am a honey hoarder and own or have tried every honey in the known universe; my current favorite is Ojai Valley Wildflower
I love languages, but I can only speak one. I’d love a slow, simple convo in Spanish though!
Quick dips in the Pacific ocean help ground me and remind me that it’s much nicer (and warmer) to be on a sandy beach
I love reading and equate books to veggies vs candy; leafy greens so I can become the best version of myself (e.g., The Surrender Experiment by Michael Turner), with some sour patch kids sprinkled in (e.g., This is Why We Lied by Karen Slaughter)
